Letter of L. M. Pisanka to Children's Commission of VtsIK on disappearance of daughter, 28 June 1935
GARF, f. 5207, op. 1, d. 727, l. 54. Original manuscript.
In the spring of 1933 my daughter twelve years old Maria Lukitichna Pisanka from the village of Deregivka in Novo-Vodolazhsky Raion, Khar'kov Oblast in Ukraine, came to the city of Khar'kov because of the famine, and disappeared; it might be surmised that either she starved to death or she ended up in some Soviet shelter, but to this point I have not heard anything about her, although I am not changing my residence. I don't know whether she knows my address. I earnestly request the Commission to make an inquiry about her and report to me at my address: Luker'ia Moiseevna Pisanka.
