Letter from ex-kolkhoznik P. S. Rogudilin to Krest'ianskaia Gazeta on abuses on K. Marx Kolkhoz, Orel Oblast, 3 November 1938

RGAE, f. 396, op. 11, d. 41, l. 29. Original manuscript.

I have been writing to you for four years already but you have taken no measures at all on the especially important remarks, for which people wanted and are wanting to take revenge on me. In 1936 I was forced to leave, or otherwise the enemies wanted to lock me up for the fact I was unmasking enemies. But evinso [even so] I feel sorry for my beloved kolkhoz where the enemies are ruining it and want to ruin it like in the spring of 1937. Didn't I write you that the people at K. Marx Kolkhoz of the Kalabinsky Village Soviet in Zadonsk Raion, Orel Oblast, with crimanil intent sowd ordanary wheat instead of high quality. Also I received more than one letter from home where they write me that the kolkhoz chairman on our kolkhoz swapped all of the chaff for drink. Whoever gives half a liter gets chaff from him, and although there were no labordays, wheat chaff was pilfered from forty hectares nobody knows where he pilfered all of it to, but he did not give it out for labordays.
